Interests in nutrition and topics I would like to learn more about…
Some interests I find interesting, and that I would like to learn more about are Diabetes. My Dad was just diagnosed with it after having high blood pressure for the past year and a bit. I would like to learn more about this and how you can maintain a healthy and nutritious diet, but also not eating gross bland food. My family has many health problems, such as diabetes, heart problems and cancer; I would like to learn how I can prevent my siblings, younger cousins and myself from getting these. Also, this is not a hereditary disease or has much to do with nutrition but this is something I would love to learn more about, Lupus; my mom was diagnosed with it when she had me. I know that Lupus has to do with your cells attacking your body, the good and bad, and medication can be very similar to meds a cancer patient would be taking.

Will nutrition play an important role in the future for the culinary industry?
I definitely think that in the near future nutrition will play a huge role in the culinary industry. The past couple of years there has been so much craze over aesthetically pleasing foods not only being pleasing to the eye but also be healthy. Veganism has been a whole lot more popular recently in the past couple years, I honestly didn’t even know that existed or was a thing until a couple of years ago. There are also a lot more restaurants actually caring about what they put into the food they feed their customers. Today, I see the culinary world heading into an industry that will start putting more effort into what they put into the food they are making.
